Bio: Easton Shane is a 14-year-old singer/songwriter known for his crazy socks, mad guitar skills and creating a unique upbeat twist on alternative pop/rock. He is a member of the world-renowned One Voice Children’s Choir under the direction of Masa Fukuda, and toured as an ambassador for the United States to Normandy, France, in 2017 as part of their D-Day celebrations. He is also a member of Nik Day Studios, has performed with Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse, under the direction of Caleb Chapman, the President of Jazz Education Network. Easton Shane is a ninth-grade student this year. He began playing the guitar at the young age of four after his father deployed to Iraq as a way to cope with the loss. Now, a decade later, he adds to his credit being named the 2016 and 2017 National Downbeat Soloist Award winner for the Blues/Pop/Rock Junior High Division for his guitar playing abilities. In August 2016, at just 13 years of age, he signed with Heritage Guitars, Inc out of Kalamazoo Michigan as their Youngest Endorsed artist in the nation for which he is excited to carry on such a rich legacy. Easton enjoys performing a broad spectrum of music including Oldies, Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz, Pop, and Country. His music is clean, upbeat, and catchy. In October of 2017 he released his first EP titled Roll with It which he wrote, arranged, and produced himself under the direction of LDS producer and Radio Host of Soft Sunday Sounds, Greg Hansen. He also released This Uniform’s for You, as a tribute to his dad and those who serve in the Armed Forces In November of 2017. Both the album and his single are available on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify and even Music Videos to a few of his songs can be found on his YouTube channel Easton Shane. Easton directs his own band, BEKM, and plays in the Advanced Jazz Band at his school. He has also played in the Little Big Band (Jazz), EPOCH Orchestra (Contemporary Pop), Jukebox Antihero (Rock), and Lonely-Hearts Club (Beatles). At the young age of 14, he has had the honor of sharing the stage and performing with some incredible musicians including Brandon Campbell from Neon Trees, Jerry Cortez from Tower of Power, Ndugu Chancler (Michael Jacksons original drummer from “Billy Jean”), Robbie Connoly from Fictionist, Rashawn Ross from the Dave Mathews Band, as well as Chris Pierce, Wycliff Gordan, Victor Wooten and Jeff Coffin. He has toured with his band’s Jukebox Antihero and Little Big Band to Anaheim, California, and San Francisco, California, and was a performer at JEN 2015 in Louisville, Kentucky. Easton has recorded songs for Janice Kapp Perry, Kamie Bolen, and David Osmond. He has participated in music videos with the Soundhouse, Alex Boye’, Peter Hollens, Rob Landes, Vocal Point and One Voice Children’s Choir (OVCC). Easton loves to sing, play guitar, and write and produce his own music. In addition to music, he is an Eagle Scout, enjoys camping, hiking, riding mountain bikes, and working with Special Needs Kids on a weekly basis. He is currently working on a new album. He is the oldest of three children and lives in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
